Edouard Vuillard
Edouard Vuillard was born in 1868 and was a life-long friend of Bonnard, with whom he shared a studio. In 1888 he came to Paris to study at the Academy and a year later was already participating n founding the Nabis group. Despite Bonnard, Denis was also good friend. He died in 1940.

His works show his interest in Japanese art and there traces of the Art Nouveau style. He is noted for his intimate painting of domestic interiors and he also painted still lifes,portraits and street scenes in fresh, delicate colours in the Impressionist manner.
